Seven-week commitment
(Mostly) Wednesdays
October 7 – November 18, 2026
6:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m.
* Class will be held on Tuesday, Nov. 10 due to Veterans Day holiday.
Online classes
All seven sessions are live, interactive online courses via Microsoft Teams. The final session includes virtual presentations of student projects.
no cost to you
The course is free. Due to budget cuts, we can no longer host the in-person graduation, but the award-winning content and instruction remains unchanged.
purpose
What will it do?
- Help community stakeholders understand opportunities for input and empowerment
- Support residents in understanding how the development process works, how to better engage, and how to advocate for community goals and visions
- Support all municipalities in Prince George’s County, except Laurel, which has its own planning and zoning authority
- Support local developers with understanding how to navigate the development process
